Dream Yacht Hosts St. Martin Open House Sailing Event

3-day event in St. Martin features hands-on sailing aboard new yachts, camaraderie & access to ownership experts

It’s not often that a group of would-be yacht buyers have the opportunity to be hosted in a world-class tropical destination, and share knowledge and camaraderie all while experiencing sailing on a variety of premiere yacht brands.

That’s exactly what Dream Yacht envisioned and brought to life this past February, with 40 passionate boating enthusiasts in attendance.

Introducing the joys of the yacht ownership lifestyle

The 3 day St. Martin Open House event would give attendees access to sales management and consultants, with plenty of time to discuss and learn about Dream Yacht’s many yacht charter management options. Expert representatives from La Victoire and Tidelines Solutions were also on hand to discuss financing options with preferential rates and tax optimization strategies to maximize yacht investments, to help ensure a smooth purchase process.

Dream Yacht’s Americas yacht sales director, Amanda Haley states, “The Open House event was successful for us and attendees alike. It gave clients an amazing opportunity beyond just a walk-on at a boat show – but to see how the boats perform out on the water and get a feel for the real sailing experience. It also gave prospective buyers a rare insight into the base operations with time to ask questions to the base manager regarding the care and upkeep of the vessels. They were able to see how well the other boats in the fleet were taken care of over time, first-hand.”

Day 1: Arrival in Anse Marcel, St. Martin

Upon arrival at Dream Yacht’s St. Martin base location in Anse Marcel, attendees were shown to their respective yachts where they would be hosted for the duration of the event, before attending an early evening cocktail reception hosted by the base manager Benoit Duhaumene. A festive time was enjoyed by all, complete with rum drinks sponsored by the popular local distillery Trois Rivieres Rhum. Following a catered dinner at the base, participants spent the night aboard their yachts at the docks in Anse Marcel.

Day 2:  Hands-on sailing on premium yachts

Attendees awoke the next morning to the exciting prospect of a full day on the water exploring the beautiful cruising grounds of St. Martin with hands-on sailing opportunities. The yachts available during the event included some of Dream Yacht’s most popular; the Bali 4.6 and 5.4, the Bali Catsmart, and the Excess 11.

Following the first leg of their brisk morning sail, the hungry crews were treated to an onboard lunch at the secluded nature preserve of Tintamarre. Some even took us up on the chance to try their hand at an electric jetboard, thanks to the crafts provided by Awake Boards for the event.

An afternoon sail landed the group at the town of Grande Case, where they would anchor for the night and enjoy the famed French cuisine of the area at Le Calmos Cafe – hosted by LaVictoire Finance.

Day 3:  Yacht tours at the St. Martin base

On the final day of the Open House event, a short sail returned everyone to base with plenty of additional time to speak with company representatives, or tour other yachts they might be interested in.

All in all, the event wrapped up with everyone having enjoyed a unique weekend of fun while researching a future lifestyle investment!
